In 2023, Deloitte produced an independent report on the Social and Economic Impact of Irish Thoroughbred Breeding and Racing, based on 2022 data.  This report showed that the sector, including breeding, training, racing, and ancillary activities, delivered €2.46bn to the economy in direct and stimulated expenditure in 2022, up 34% from 2016, and supports a total of 30,350 jobs, an increase of 1,450 in that same period, the majority of which are in rural communities.  

This led us to dig deeper and assess the impact of the industry in the counties and regions across Ireland.
