Punchestown Racecourse is known as the home of Irish Jump racing with a season running from September until June. Situated in Co. Kildare, Punchestown's five-day Festival at the end of April each year attracts huge crowds, who swarm to the racecourse to experience action-packed racing and lively entertainment. Top-class racing featuring 12 Grade 1 races including the Punchestown Champion Novice Hurdle and Ladbrokes Punchestown Gold Cup offer an opportunity for jump racing's most talented horses, jockeys and trainers to battle it out on the track.

Highlighted races in the Punchestown calendar include the La Touche Cup and the Ladies Cup which provide great spectacle as they take place on Punchestown’s famous cross-country course. Punchestown Premiere Weekend will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November 2024. 

This festival consolidates top quality races to create a brilliant Grade 1 double header across the weekend. The Unibet Morgiana Hurdle takes place on Saturday and the famous Grade 1 John Durkan Chase is the star on Sunday. Like all great shows, there is a brilliant supporting cast with the graded, rated, listed and cross country racing on offer.

Irish Rail operate a service from Dublin's Heuston Staion to Sallins Station which is just outside Naas.
