Regarded as one of the most scenic racing venues in the Ireland, Sligo Racecourse attracts many racegoers in the summer months where meetings are usually held in the evenings. A two-day meeting takes place on the 7th and 8th of August, with a dedicated Ladies Day on the second day. One of the track's busiest days, crowds flock to the venue in their best dressed attire in a bid to secure the much sought after cash prize. The two-day meeting offers  both flat and national hunt racing catering for all interests. 

Another stand out fixture at Sligo racecourse is Student Race Day. The seven race card is an annual highlight in the sport and social calendars of many local university students.

Get ready for a style extravaganza at Sligo Races on Thursday, 8th of August. Fashionista Marietta Doran will once again grace the enclosure as Judge on the day.  This year's winner of the Best Dressed Lady Competition will enjoy a €1,000 cash prize sponsored by Sligo Races, along with an amazing bespoke outfit by internationally renowned Irish fashion designer Roisin Linane! 

Additionally, all ten finalists will each receive a €100 gift voucher from Friday’s Edit and to top it all off, Sligo Races will provide a bottle of Prosecco for all the finalists.
