Did you know:
From Cork, Aaron Mackay began his career in racing with John Murphy in Upton but rode his first winner during a spell in England for Stan Moore at Wolverhampton in early 2019. However, he was soon back with Murphy and rode his first winner in Ireland that summer when High Altitude scored at Killarney. For good measure, he went on to ride a second winner on the same day when Marlborough Sounds, another trained by Murphy, won the very next race.
