He has enjoyed a steady stream of success, enjoying notable victories with the likes of Gustavus Weston in the Group 2 Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes at the Curragh in 2021, Only Mine in the 2016 Group 3 Bar One Racing Lacken Stakes, Euphrasia in the 2013 Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Blue Wind Stakes and Ardbrae Lady in the Group 3 Lodge Park Stud European Breeders Fund Park Express Stakes in 2007.
Insignia Of Rank, Flying Fairies, Ask Jack and Rose Hip have been listed winners for Murphy with Swamp Fox notably winning the big amateur riders' handicap at the Galway Festival and the Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel in 2016. A seven-time winner for Murphy, he also won the Naas November Handicap the following year. Fit For function was another to win seven races for the yard with Ask Jack visiting the winners' enclosure on six occasions.
Ask Jack was also a big Galway Festival winner with Lady's Mantle, Lizzie Bennett, Rock On Ciara, Angel's Amy and Pale Irish among Murphy's runners landing high-profile handicap success.
